Re: triac coolant compartment
I actually added a thin layer of car body filler to the bottom of my tank and covered it with a very thin sheet of aluminium (no paint). Working very well thus far. Sealed up the edges with sealant used for ducting (sets like concrete).

What would be best bearings to replace with (source).
Would be nice to upgrade to triple stack steppers to increase rapid feedrate.

Re: Triac Spindle Speed Upgrade
Is it a big job to replace the bearings?
I wouldn't mind getting a third Triac VMC to make several upgrades to.

Triac Spindle Speed Upgrade
Hi All.
Is it possible to upgrade the spindle speed on the Triac to (for example 8000rpm)?
I have seen a video on YouTube where a Triac Fanuc was upgraded to 10000rpm by fitting a Chinese 2.2Kw spindle motor and a radiator/pump to cool it.
Would the spindle bearings be capable of this speed?

Wanted: Denford Zero Center
Hi All.
Does anyone know if any Denford Zero Center machines are available or may become available in the very near future?
There was one in eBay a while back.

Cyclone on Mach
Managed to find a Denford Cyclone a few months back and a friend picked up the machine and converted it to Mach 3. Macro for the toolchanger. Got the machine running today and all works great. The only thing I was puzzled by was when the coolant flows out of the back of the spindle bore it does not ...

Looks good thanks. Looks like the bore is finish machined after being attached to the lathe. Not sure how? (Reamer?)
One other question. How many turrets had coolant through turret

Re: Cyclone TU150P (Fanuc OT) on Phase Converter
Thanks for the reply. Have been thinking and it is more logical to convert to Mach and sell the Fanuc kit as it will fetch a good price to cover the upgrade. Do the Fanuc Cyclones have a 3Ph spindle motor or a servo motor? This will be important to know The machine may have a power chuck and pneumat...

Re: Cyclone TU150P (Fanuc OT) on Phase Converter
I have been going through some posts on here where a user has ran the Cyclone on a transwave converter etc etc. I am not that convinced it will be so successful so I am thinking s conversion to single phase is the best option with Mach 3 control. 80V PSU, new BOB's, new drives and double stack stepp...
