Mirac on Dos software question
Hi All,

When I have set all the tool offsets on my Mirac, how can I do a datum shift to adjust the length of the finished part.

On my Triac I can adjust the Z axis datum offset and all the tools are adjusted, how is this done on the Mirac?

I am using V2.25 software, is this the latest version for DOS?

Thanks

Graham.

OK, no reply to that question, lets try this one.

Can I use G10 to offset the Z axis datum?

If yes how is it implemented?

Thanks

Hi - sorry for no replies this weekend - most of us use the forum during working hours.

Sorry if its an obvious one, but have you looked at the DOS turning manual:
viewtopic.php?t=953

There is a lot of info on setting the X and Z coordinate values which I presume is the global "work" offset, then it goes on to describe setting the tool offsets for each tool.

From what I rememeber, when you go into Tool Offest you get an X and Z global offset (work shift), and below this the inidividual tool offests

I think you can do work shift in program too but don't have the software installed here to try. Take a look in the help - possibly G50 or G92?

Hi,

thanks for the replying, I did download the user guide but the offset part is not like my setup.

My Mirac is the all in one type and when I press on the offset button all I get is a list of X,Z,R,T's there is no global X and Z within the offset list.

April 1995 software version 2.25

Please forward any details you have about this machine. Can this machine be updated?

Many thanks

Unfortunately your Mirac PC has a LCB3 control system in it and therefore Denford's cannot offer an upgrade
