Whats the best software for my ORAC

Whats the best software for my ORAC

Only just got it and playing with TURBOCNC ant the moment and finding it basic fancy the VR software, What do you think?

:?: not sure what you mean by software there as turbocnc is for controlling the machine (ok so it's sw) & VR sw is for making bits.

do you want something for driving the orac or a CAD CAM package? (drawing & making bits)

Will the VR sw work, Im re learning cnc programing and want to see the tool path drawn before i start to cut, just piece of mind.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Our current lathe CAD / CAM software is pretty basic as well (LatheCAM).

The VR Turning software shows the tool path / finished part quite nicely, but wouldn't be able to control the ORAC, and may not show the same results as the machine, from the same CNC program.

You could experiment with a VR Turning demo version - if I remember correctly, you can enter and simulate around 30 lines of CNC code...
