easimill conversion to mach 3

Hi to you all, i am new to this forum and I have just got my easimill after many months of looking, the tape recording system is not working so i was hoping that you guru's out there could walk me(very slowly as new to this cnc stuff) through converting my machine to run off mach 3????
In the short term i will try to use the machine using the serial link, that is if you kind gentlemen can tell how to do it, what i dont understand is what program i write the g code program in before i send it to my mill, i have been using it by typing the program into the machine manually but then cant save it as the tape not working, maybe i should go over to mach 3??
My machine is standard apart from an inverter which is mounted in the box at the rear which i guess runs the main motor( it is the varispeed model), i was told by the guy i got the machine from that the inverter was to do with the stepper motor drives??? i don't know and to be honest he did'nt know either(he was a dealer and was guessing i think)
Anyway i would be pleased of any help you can give me.
