Easiturn 3 for sale

Post by devonvale » Mon 08 Feb , 2010 0:55 am

I have an Easiturn 3 that needs a new home. Acquired a few years back from a local company who bought it from original owner, a local apprentice training establishment, who had three of them.

The training school only used it to turn nylon (didn't trust trainees with solid stuff). The company I got it from bought it to do a prospective job which they didn't get and never had the time or the inclination to suss out how to work it. I only ever worked out how to use it in a semi-manual mode and used it to machine a few steel blanks for model locos that I build as a hobby. For my hobby I use CAD software and hoped that I could add CAM to my armoury. Due to lack of time, (retired now, how did I ever find time to go to work?) the Easiturn has stood idle far too long.

Until the last time I powered it up last year it was all sound within the machine. All buttons worked and there didn't appear to be any problems. Last time powered, on the saddle moved left to the start position and returned an error code. Seems this could be the result of a microswitch failure. Without this fixed it ain't going to do ought else.

The lathe comes with an IBM PC with Denford software for programming off the machine and includes two 'dongles'. The software has been copied to 3.5" floppies as it came on 5.25" floppies.

If anyone out there is willing to give it a good home please make contact. Cash exchange around £500 is sought as I can make that much selling parts individuall

***** Lathe has now been SOLD *****
