Hi,

The toolchanger is not available as a retrofit. You would have to select a different machine to make it work.

We no longer manufacture that type of toolchanger and I would guess yo would not be able to get one second hand without buying a complete machine :(

Have a look at this site.
https://www.hossmachine.info/

This looks like something that could be modified and adapted to the Triac.

He has a 16 and a 12 auto tool changer carousel that he built for his X2 Mill.
Also somewhere on the site there is a video of it working, he has quite a number of videos of his projects - or try youtube on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw5HiP8JLN0.
His design looks simple and looks like it could be made on the Triac. He made his using his X2 mill so there should not be a problem to make it on the Triac.

Maybe I'll get to make one someday :-)

It looks mechanically similar, I think your biggest problem will be the fact that he uses a stepper drive to index the carousel.
The Triac's all use a motor to spin it and count 2 pulses from a proximety switch for each position (AFAIK)

If you are on a version of VR Milling (not DOS) then I'd be able to help modify the Mint (logic) file to make it work... it should even be possible to switch over one of the stepper outputs via a relay, to index the carousel via stepper motor
