Viceroy TDS 1 lathe mounting holes

Hi, could anyone explain why these holes are threaded please :? the 4 ive circled and 2 at the tailstock end, is there some sort of special bolt for them :?:

Can you supply any further photos?

It would also help if you explained why you are asking the question?

I can't see the picture for some reason - but on my 280 the machine is mounted using studs, so I suspect that practise was carried over from the 5" machines.

Hi Andy, it is mounted using studs, but these are a smaller diameter than the holes, so i didnt know if something was missing with the holes being threaded, 2 of the studs had snapped one in the tail stock mounting and 1 in the headstock mounting, i just need to find out the size so i can replace them
