VR Milling Download
I have tried downloading the file on 3 different machines and with NO success.
I also tried downloading ALL of the other files in the software downloads area and they ALL WORKED!
I called another person here in Montana to have him try it and he had no success.
Steve ... you said you were able to download it. No matter what machine I go to I am not able to download the VR Milling file... could there be a user or file rights issue?

This is strange
The file is hosted on a different provider to our Internet connection provider - so, apart from slightly different route, we are in effect downloading in the same way.
What exactly do you mean by "I am not able to download the VR Milling file" ?
Does the download start at all ? - What happens when you click the link ?
If the file does download, how big is it exactly ?
Is it being reported as broken ?
I think it could be Virus scanning is seeing something in the zip file or the download stream and either removing part of it, or preventing it being accessed.
This could even happen before it hits your PC
Can you get someone connected by a different Internet service to try it ?
Maybe the office in Ohio could try it for us as well

VR Milling Download
The file starts to download, but completes in about 15 seconds. The zip folder is downloaded to my computer, when I open it ... I get an error message that says the zipped file is invalid or corrupted.
All the machines that I have tried this on are using Norton Anti-Virus. That could be the problem.
BUT, why do all the other files download for me with with NO problem????
That doesn't make sense to me.

VR Milling program download problems

Hi, I am having trouble downloading this file too. The rest of the files on the download page work. This download starts and only runs for a few seconds, when I look at the .zip it is only 2.2Kb.

Chris - Are you using Norton Antivirus as well ?
It could be that there happens to be a string of charcters in the ZIP file which resembles some virus signature and the AV is stopping the download from completing normally
I'm not too sure what we can do as the file is Ok and downloads fine for us (we have anti virus scanning in the firewall, and on each PC)
I can only suggest you both try disabling the AV just while downloading (try not to do anything else on the PC in the meantime though)
Let us know if you find out anything

I had a think and tried removing the computer from the proxy server to go out onto the internet unfiltered and this worked. Although I didn't get any proxy error messages when I tried going through it. The AV program was still active when I did this so that leads me to believe that it was not to blame. Hope this helps.

Ok - The proxy must have some inbuilt content filtering and its spotting something inside the ZIP file.
I suppose the only thing I could do is to alter some files, and re-zip it all, hoping that the "dodgy" string of characters alters.
However, I think sending out a copy on CD would be easier for now
