We have an older Micromill Std - late '90s, with a new Nextstep Card.
The older stepper motors do not like the high feed rates in VR Milling v5.
When a new version is loaded we have to go in and change the settings in Feed and Machine Capabilities.
Is there a way to create or modify a machine profile that can be saved to a disk (CD), then loaded into the list of machines as an added selection?
We would like to change the manual spindle on/off and spindle speed to computer control at a later date. Any suggestions on the wiring?

In the latest vrmilling v5 go to menu:
Setup -> Create Machine Disk
I think thats all you will need to keep your changes backed up.
As for the spindle control, you could start with the Micromill 2000 drawings. That way the IO will work the same - you may just need to select Micromill 2000 as the machine, and the IO and logic (mint) should just work.
