Novamill help needed

Post by janine » Fri 11 Jan , 2008 10:18 am

We have had this machine for over 8 years it has an eprom chip of 2.1, we are currently trying to use the DOS version on the software but due to a high changeover of staff non of us have the knowledge to test the machine.

If anyone could instruct me on testing it that would be great we would also like a bit of information regarding upgrading it to a windows version.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunatley we can no longer support the DOS software though you may get some help on the forum.

The advantages of upgrading are covered on this forum. The best link is below.

I think if you try to run the machine in DOS you will only end up frustrated where upgrading to VR milling 5 will make the machien much simpler to use and more versatile as well as been compatable with modern PC's.

Good Luck :!:

I have upgraded to 2.31 software recommended by denford now it gets to 66% on locating mint on com 1 any suggestions?

Also when I go to select the machine the Novamill is not an option.

Thanks

Go to setup machine paramiters.

Then type the password "denny"

See the attached screens that show the machine choices in VR Milling.

Select NovaMill (Not NS) :!:

The right click and make the machien active.

Having just spoken with you your machine is now up and running! :D

The option of VR Milling 5 would be good as you would get the DXF import.

Let us know how you get on.
