Hi,
I have a TU150U machine that needs some TLC and was wondering if Denford has the software and wiring diagram for this machine?

I have searched and I can not find any info on this machine all the ones I have found have Baldor drives this has a different make.

I have had time to play a bit with the machine and here is a picture of the electrical box.
Can someone give me any idea which software I needs and if there is a wiring diagram for this machine.

Hi Graham
You will need to use the TU150 software which you can download from the Denford website. You will also need to copy the Drivers2 & save in the same directory.

Hi All I am back again.
Things have moved on a bit, I downloaded the files Martin suggested and created a DOS boot disk with it all on and it powered up and the X axis shot to the max and jammed there with a jolt, the z crept forward toward the chuck. Estop put a stop to its fun.
My question, is this the correct software if so what do I need to change to make it work right.
The machine is fitted with an air chuck and 8 station tool changer plus a part catcher.
The other thing is even with 100psi it thinks the air is low, I checked the switch and its working fine so I guess its a setting or the wring input is being checked.
Any help would be very well received.

Was the movement as soon as power went on or did you press anything.
Does it have limit/home switches? When the machines I have worked on power up they sit there, you have to press home for movement,
If the location is away from home it drives to the home location at pace, presses the switch, stops, then slowly moves away until the switch is released.
Sounds like it trying to go to home in one direction and move away from home on the other. So worth checking the switches/cables

If youy copy the text & copy over the TU150U.opt file it should then have the original settings.

Pete,
as soon as the control screen was displayed the x axis set off and hit the end stop toward the home position, the z was also creeping toward the chuck away from home.
Martin, Thank you I will give it a go but they look almost the same as what is in it at the moment.

That sort of sounds like home switch issues BUT only if you had called for a home. Got to be worth checking the functionality of them.

Well its looking like a duff Mint card, as soon as the machine becomes ready the mint sends out a voltage on the analogue and off it sets at rapid in X and at creep in Z.
Anybody have an old Mint card they don't want?
If not Mach4 here we come!

I can not believe what a mess this machine is in, what ever has been cut in it has turned the coolant to acid and stripped the paint off it just like Nitromors would. Everything is covered in a thick paste like gloop that stinks and sticks like s..t to a blanket.
The chap I got it from said he had been using it up until a few weeks back, I strongly disagree with that statement.
BTW has anybody got a coolant tank for one of these that they would like to sell.
Well the fight back has started.
The machine has been completely dismantled and major parts sent for blasting and de-greasing then on to paint.
All the mechanical bits are in boxes most will need major cleaning and checking, most of the bearings are shot and new ones have been ordered.
The slides look good and no sign of damage and the spindle nose looks as if its never seen the light of day since it was built. So that is a relief.
The tailstock was solid with gunge and the shaft is a bit pitted on the underside but the bore looks okay.
The parts catcher was seized solid but the air cylinder works just fine so that will get the attention it needs.
I am saving the tool changer for later when I can connect it to the control and see what works and what needs looking at.

That was in a sorry state! On the plus side, when you've finished you'll have a fantastic Lathe!
I'm envious of your power chuck & parts catcher!
It looks like a good candidate for a new control system as yours looks more antiquated than even my Fanuc.

Its starting to go back together. I am not going mad with it so some parts are just cleaned and checked and refitted. After all its going to be used.
Bed shimmed to base.
New spindle bearings for a start.
New keep plates and Turcite facings.
Swarf chip area and fluid run off tank coated in rubber paint to help stop electrolysis.
