Hi all im new to cnc im interested for hobby reasons only and very keen to learn. my problem is that I have just acquired the above from a training school but it has been left disconnected for some time, we wired it up but not a glimmer of life from the internal pc or monitor. I've been advised that I need a MS-DOS boot up disc could any of you shed any light on where I can get this and if I need to copy any other files to the disc.
many thanks

Without a boot disc the computer monitor should still turn on. Can you check the computer is switched on inside. If it has power it should beep during power up.

Hi CNC Guru,
Thanks for your response, I have just collected a floppy disk drive I will try it this evening. Im just hoping that that will be the end of the problem, I have just collected the machine from a training school I believe its been disconnected for some time so maybe the internal batteries are now flat. I will post on here again tomorrow with tonight's findings.
Many thanks Ade

Hi all, tried new floppy disk drive tonight still nothing at the monitor I've also tried a different monitor. It's as if the pc part of the machine is not working. I will try to attach some photos of the machine.

Hi all
I have tried everything I can to copy the files to a floppy, we are doing this via windows XP but the Denford is still only showing 'No system on disc'. not to sure which way to go now, do you all think its about time I starting to retro fit a CS Labs system??
