I hope that somebody can answer this question!
I have a METRIC Viceroy TDS 1/1 GBL centre lathe.
I have done much research and it seems that this machine cannot be set-up to cut Imperial threads.
Am I correct with this conclusion?
My setup is as shown in my recent post regarding metric screw-cutting procedure on this machine. I am currently in possession of all the gears for an Imperial machine, including a 127T gear, but nothing is at all compatible.
So, is a metric machine capable of being easily setup to screw-cut imperial threads?
Somebody please enlighten me!

The answer is no, it can't exactly. But if you follow the instructions in the XL spreadsheet you can cut a thread that
will work satisfactorily within limits. If you want to cut a (say) 200mm long imperial thread, to fit a long tapped hole, you won't be able to do it, but a short thread is fine. I've done this and it works OK.
