Hi
Micromill 2000 with denstep (2001) when switching on, board sets and LED stays with .L (flashing dot)
I think it should go to 8 (all Leds on) to show its ready to connect.
With the .L it can not make a serial connection.
Any Ideas On What this could be? Anyone!

It sounds like the mint file is not running. What software are you using to connect? If it's VRMilling make sure you are using the latest version.

Hi
Running from VrmillingV2.3 and V5x both the same problem
The card has a ROM V2.0b10/s/b19-JD5 should this be OK or does it need V2.1 ROM?
I thought this Rom would be OK with V2.3.

It should be a version 2.1 Eprom.
The latest version of VRMilling 2 is version 2.31 & can be downloaded from the Denford website. Make sure you have a copy of the licence file first though.
If you have VRMilling 5 then make sure you select a legacy machine.
You can also try to download the mint program using mintman which should be installed in the VRMilling directory.

Hi
All sorted now, I had tried two cables that work fine on Router and Novamill but NOT on this Micromill
after some swapping and fiddling with cables got one that works ok.
How many different ways can you connect a 9pin-25pin from the card to the output panel!!
Ta for your time.

Yes. 2 ways.
The Micromill & Microturn use a pin to pin cable cable. The others all use a RS232 lead. The difference is pins 2 & 3 are crossed over.
