Hi
Have a Microrouter V3 running with Serial Connection to Denstep Via PC with Built in Serial Ports and XP - same prob with another XP machine.
The PC communicates to the Machine with both V5 and V2+ VrMilling and it does machine
BUT
Its slow ie. it seams to stop and wait after each Gcode line, its the same in Turbo or Std its as though there is no buffering and the PC sends each line.
Checked comms settings are OK (19200, 8,2,) using RouterV3 Mint with VRM2+ and RouterDenstep Mint with V5.
The cable is a std Null Modem cable.
I do stress it does work and machine accurately but very slow because of the delay.

Can you post a video?

Can you run the standard "teddy.fnc" file which should be on the C drive. It is 10640 lines long & should take 15 to 20 mins running a Denstep card.

Hi
Thanks for your attention to this problem
tried teddy and stopped after 20mins only quarter finished
Sending video of Teddy start and a Vcarve file start (motor off so you can hear steppers)
Tried on 2 x PC's with inbuilt serialports running XP Sp3 set to std 19200, 8, 2
Cable via 9-25way and direct 9-9way as per Denford spec.
VRMilling 2x running RouterV3 Mint and VRmilling 5x running Router Denstep mint from legacy section.
Al options has this same problem.
Posting Vids in seperate post.

Hi, Yes, tried at 120% and this does speed up each move or cut but its the slight delay between each gCode command as though it only sends a line at a time OR there is little or no buffering at the machine control. JCS

Hi JSKRABA, did you manage to resolve this issue?

I don't think this is something to resolve. My micro-router V3 (black control box with denstep) which I just got working again runs 32mins on the same test. I don't think it can run any faster than that.

I think its time to replace this control with something more capable
