Hi,
I have just aquired an old almost unused triac (one of the very first)
I would like to convert it to mach3,at the same time convert to 100watt
servo's using gecko g340's,this of corse would mean removing all the existing electronics I have built a sieg x1 retrofit using this set up.
Therein lies my problem! how do I link up the frequency converter for the spindle motor? is it possible or should I junk the spindle motor as well and use a honking great dc servo off a gecko?
Cheers
triac spindle control mach3

Most VFD's can accept an analogue control signal (usually 0-10V DC) to control speed. You can generate this from Mach3 using a Digispeed controller, from Homann Designs (https://www.homanndesigns.com/). You can then control this from Mach's spindle control functions either in Step/Direction or PWM mode.
Hope this helps
