A customer has been having problems with 3 Mirac machines which have been upgraded from DOS, to VR Turning.
The problems are a bit random but in general the operation of the machines is sluggish, and feedrate changes occur at the wrong time - you may also find that some commands or linear moves are skipped at random.

The solution lies with the control type parameter in the Communications section.
It will also recognise whether a new EPROM chip (v2.1) is fitted and adjust the protocol to suit.
This change will utilise a different RS232 driver, which we have found runs reliably on NT/2000/XP systems.By default it is set to 5
