Tool Changer will not stop rotating
Thanks for the information. We have moved on to a different problem. The tool changer will not stop rotating after we jog it in manual. Is it possible that the ladder is not loaded? The rest of the machine seems to function ok. Does anyone know how to look at the ladder on a Fanuc Om control.

It sounds like you may have a broken wire going to the atc sensor. Check that the diagnostic changes.

The ladder must be running for the manual rotate to work, if it wasn't nothing would happen at all - the ladder controls the modes and LEDs on the operator panel as well as all the I/O

Not sure you could see the ladder on a Model A or B.
Think you could only see it on a Model C control if it had graphics hardware and possibly 900 option bits set correctly.
It was available from the DGNOS/PARAM windows IIRC
Re: Tool Changer will not stop rotating
how can we down load the ladder to see how it is set for the tool changer. it appears that what our information is telling us and how it is actually programed don't agree.

Have you got the 450 diagnostics set correctly?

Does the ATC sensor change in the diagnostics? I still think the most probable cause is a broken sensor wire which I have seen several times.
