WANTED Fixed steady for Viceroy tds metal working lathe

Post by pipemaker » Mon 05 Mar , 2012 21:15 pm

Hi, I've searched the forums and the internet looking for one of these for a while now. Can anyone help me to get my hands on one of these, or maybe someone recommend another steady that will match the Viceroy's bed, or possibly the dimensions of the steady so I can make one? Thanks, D.

Sorry about that, looks like you'd have to make one.
There is a good picture of one that Dazz has:

Maybe he has drawings or can sketch it up for you ?
Also try PMing AndyB in case he has the drawings or knows what I could look for...

He did say he was going to dig them out so someone could knock up a mould for casting. I reckon an aluminium casting would be pretty good for a fixed steady.

You could do a good trade if you found a crate full of them!
