Triac cassette part 3

Post by Fat Harry »

We have now stripped down the cassette unit & think we've found the problem.
There is a white rubber washer on the pinch wheel which has perished, hardened & no longer grips.
The washer is white 24 o/d 17.5 i/d & 1.75 thick.
Anyone got any ideas where such a thing might be obtainable ?
Cheers .

Maybe plumbing supplies, though you'll probably have to do some sort of rework
p.s. they probably won't be white ;)

Hi
Just curious as to why you want to use the cassette so badly?

Its very simple to load programmes from an old PC. If you don't want to get into CAD etc, you can simply type the code into windows notepad and send to the machine with the Industrial Text Editor programme (very basic). Save all the files you ever do ready for reloading whenever you want. Its much easier then programming at the machine because you can delete, edit, cut and paste, etc.

Regards

Bit catch 22 Matt, all our progs are on tape & unless we can recover them they will all have to be re-written. Also as of yet we have not been successful connecting our Triac to a pc ! :(

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Cassette Unit

Post by XJ5373 »

Hi,
Not a cassette unit I am afraid, that didn't work so eventually went in the bin. I do have a brand new cassette from NE controls though. This cost me over £50!!!!! £25 would be nice but no reasonable offer refused now.
