Hi thanks for the help . i will give it a try . and check all the levels .
question , should all cyclones lathes have a neutral wire . as this
one was not feed with a neutral wire when we bought it .
the incoming 415 v 3 phase and earth goes to a transformer , which out puts it
to 220v 3ph . but ...

having read other posts here re phase converters we
just bought a cyclone no cy03118 b year jan 89 electrical no 80080975 , (out from Henley College a few years ago. )
and have bought a digital phase converter(10hp) and sign wave filter, and connected up , drives and turret all powers up
and works ...

Hi .

Yes , tried that , iv checked the voltage out for 500.1000, 2000 and 4000 all ok

also checked orientation voltage , this is low , which is why i wanted to alter the Fanuc Parameters .

also can you turn off the requirement to orientate .before a tool change.

yes i understand this way around the problem , we have already taken of the drive dogs .
but the tool changer wont start to come in to remove the old tool . until
the spindle orientation has been completed , and the motor wont complete
its 2 nd turn , past the ...

and am trying to amend the Tanuc om parameters . without any success . i can alter the figures in the
Parameters . on the screen ( with pwe =1 enabled) but nothing seems to change in the machine .

hi ive checked the resistance of each coil and it measures about 2 ohms each so all looks well .
and i checked the connections for a broken wire , but found none . so
i changes the motor to a new one , which came from (Motion Control ltd , in Poole )

Hi i've striped down the x drive and checked the table for tight points a have found none.
so i power up the triac , homed the machine and took of the stepper motor to check for power.
I did expect not to be able to turn the output shaft , while under power , but found no resistance .

triac pc with x drive missing stepps

I have a triac pc , which i have had for many years ,and has been great .
on occasions it has missed steps on the x drive , which i have put down to too heavy cuts etc .
also when i bought the machine the x didnt work at all , which turned out to be the connector box on the back of the machine was ...

triac tool changer orientation troubles

Following on previous posts re our TRiac fanuc atc mill .
we took position of this machine some time ago and have
found a few problems , which one by one have been fixed,
some with the forums help .many thanks for that.
The next problem that has raised its head is the tool changer , not

well yes and no ,its all great until you want to tool change .
because its now thrown up a problem with the tool changer /
spindle orintation . which i have put up under a new topic .

triac spindle motor required

Hi all, have just got my fanuc triac up and running to find that the motor has a fault, discover that the magnets have ..well died.. so i require a new motor.

So if anyone has? or know's? where i can get a lenze or sem motor for the triac i would be most gratefull!

Doesent matter if its off a used ...

problems with triac fanuc atc

i have just recently brought a Triac fanuc atc, and have just finished wiring it up
I appear to have a problem , it keeps tripping out the workshop RCD (100ma) when i power up the control ,
When i turn on the yellow switch all the fans run , and the light cums on as well as the suds pump works ...

ah yeah i have the DA collets andy i use the holders in my machine and have a few spares collets
Just to check they are the right DA collets the Dia is 11.5mm and the shoulder is 13.5 in dia sound right??

I have fixed the leak not sure how that worked thee was a valve which was leaking but i looked at the pipe the piece come out the valve and back in the other side? why??? some type of drop out presure valve anyway just out of intrest i pulled it off and bypassed it! with a 6mm hose its great workss ...

i have a denford triac 1987 and the atc has been playing up i had to replace all of the airlines on the machine as they were ether split or leeking but the machine still leaks my problem is i can use a whole tank of air in one tool change as soon as i turn the ari above 20 psi somethin clicks on and ...

Denford Triac ATC?

Hello
I own a denford triac pc and want to be able to change tools automatically

can a tool changer be fitted to a triac pc and if so how easy is it? & where can i get one??? :roll:

do i need to change to another machine eg the triac ATC/VMC ????
