Many thanks for your help.
After alot of checking guess what it was?
Nothing wrong with the lathe!!
I had it plugged into a surge protection socket which was faulty, after 20 - 30 mins it would trip out.
It did the same with a normal pc plugged in.
Thanks again for the help.

FHP Motherboard Asy S1609 Help
Hi all, I have nearly rebuilt my Denford Orac. Still running all the old electrics but they work fine. But I have one problem! When I bought this machine it had four wires removed from the connections. Looking at the back right hand side of the machine is the following; A black cover held on with 4 ...

Orac Toolpost Size
If I remove the compound slide with the Multifix toolpost.
What size toolpost would I have to purchase to fit straight onto the cross slide?
I have the original Multifix toolpost but no holders, so replacing it would not be a problem.
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Wanted the following; PC 1693 Keyboard Connector & Bleeper (has only one 28 way molex single row connector). I have a PC 1952 which has two 18 way molex connectors on the board, this will not fit my keyboard which only has an 28 way ribbon connector on it. Anyone who is upgrading an Orac machine to ...

Re: Key Board 29 pin to 28 pin Help
Thanks for the reply. Yes you are correct it has two 18-way sockets from the membrane, but one membrane has 14 pins used and the other has 15 pins used. I think my best bet would be to ask if anyone has got a PC 1693 board with a single 28 way connector on it. I could then swap the PC 1952 board wit...

Key Board 29 pin to 28 pin Help
:3D: I have bought a Denford Orac Lathe which requires some attention. Most of the work is done now but I am stuck on one part. The touch key pad was ripped to pieces when I got the lathe, but I have managed to acquire a new one. My trouble is the new one is made by SYNTELECT (I think it’s made by D...
