Re: Tool Setting
Hi MadeForThat I can give you the mint code to add to your machines mint file. You will have to edit the code to use a spare input from your controller. I have added a Beckhoff Canbus module to my triac that has a 8 input module attached as well as 8 outputs. I use M100 to position the tool at machi...

Re: Tool Setting
I have made one for the Triac PC that leaves the tool at the top of the probe. You then press the tool datum button on the tool offset page.
It runs within VR Milling5 using a "M" code i have added to my Mint file.

Editing Mint Files
I am currently writing a tool length Probe routine within the mint file for my machine. This Routine has been adding it to the list of "M" codes in the Mint file for my machine and it is working well. My problem is that i would like to display a message when the routine has completed and to display ...

Re: Homing Problem on Triac
there are 3 fuses located on the rack base plate, just to the left of the orange stepper connectors. i have had these blow on one occasion causing the steppers to fail. the cause in my case was powering up the machine with one of the steppers disconnected and the driver board still in the rack

Baldor Nextmove ES DOUT8-11
Hi, i have built a 4th axis for my Triac PC, which is running on axis 3 via an SD12 driver card. but i now wish to add a braking system to hold the axis when milling. i can see that there was an option for a vice that was operated using M10 and M11, and it would appear from the Mint file that it was...

Re: TRIAC KEYBOARD
it sounds as if you have a dry solder joint. when you heat the keyboard the parts inside expand slightly remaking the connection, twisting would do the same. when the joint cools it may loose connection again. i have not seen inside one of these but if it where me i would resolder all of the joints ...

M0 in VR Milling 5
Hi I am making a component on a Triac PC using VR Milling 5 that has a total of 11 tool changes and 6000+ lines. I have to add extra clamps half way through the cycle so am using a M0 program stop. This works fine untill i want to do a restart from a point that is after the M0. if i try this it alwa...

Re: 4th Axis on the Triac PC
just a quick update, i have traced the correct pins on the backplane which appear to be routed straight into the optional controller card connector. as i dont have a card fitted i cut the tracks and used speedwire to connect to a SD12 fitted into the axis 3 slot. connected a stepper to the axis 3 co...

Re: Triac PC Atc Blowing Fuses
Well the Digital Tacho arrived today and i think i found the problem. At a programmed S4000 rpm the Spindle was was actually running at 4906rpm, so probably drawing too much current hence the fuses blowing. The milling i have done recently was done at a max of S3200 which worked out at just under 40...
