Starmill software

Following the right RS232 cable config and software operation. On using the CNC machine protocal to drive the machine I get this message.

A connection to your starmill could not be made. Press remote on ( that was done) Check power (OK) and RS232 I think it is ok though breakout box

Can any body help?
