I have my eye on a Turn270 and need to make parts in mild steel up to 3/4" and max of 200mm long, and short brass pieces of 7/8 inch diameter. My question is whether this machine is capable of small-batch production of 50 -100 pieces, or if the money would be better spent on a larger machine? What do people think??
The attraction of the Turn is its size and in sourcing a cnc lathe for small parts, the vast majority of used cnc lathes are monsters of 2 tons +. I do not need 2 tons of mass for small parts.

The machine should be able to cut the machines. The Turn 270Pro has a better turret an earlier models.
For parts longer than 70mm you would probably need a tail stock.. Are you thinking of buying new or used?
Not too many machines have a tail stock and it cannot be retrofitted.
If new then the new model Turn 370 has higher power and flood coolant.

Thanks for the tip off. No tailstock on the used one I was looking at, so its a no-goer.
