Hi I'm new

Post by Ibbo » Tue 17 May , 2011 16:41 pm

I recently acquired my new toy and have a question
I have a Viceroy metric TDS1/16 BL

It has the 3mm lead screw and on the gearbox plate it has A to D of which I have B to D cogs

B=21

C=27

D=30

What would cog A be?

Also have another set which are 16,18,20,22,,24,28

Thanks for any info

Steve

Steve,

Welcome to the Viceroy owners club!
Does the 'BL' designate a long bed?

Regarding the gears:
See this thread - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1061&hilit=thread+calculator

For the set to go with a 4-position gearbox, A= 24T

Looks like you also have part of the set to go with a 5-position gearbox - 16T (A), 18T (B), 22T (C), 24T (D), 26T (E), 27T(F), 35T (G)

Note that A-D are different tooth numbers for the 2 gearbox types!

Thanks a lot for the info

I can try a bit of thread cutting using the "A" setting in the gearbox

which of course is the threads I want

again thanks

not sure what BL means

when I've cleaned it up a bit more I'll post some pics

Cheers

Steve
