Hi - would anyone have a spare Hi-Lo (backgear) lever and a speed control wheel for a Viceroy 280VS or know of a suitable replacement?
Also looking for a decent 4-jaw chuck and any other accessories for this lathe.

Hi Dave.
I have a 6" 4-jaw chuck. It's Chinese brand but it is new, so might be what you're after. You would need to fit it to a D1-3 backplate to use it on your 280vs. I use a 3-jaw from the same brand and it works well enough.
I'll sell it for £30 & postage, which is what I paid for it. I never used it because I bought an 8" burnerd 4-jaw right afterwards.
Pete.

Re: Viceroy 280VS spares
Hope this isn't too late -
Most handwheels and knobs used to come from 'Elesa' - the company still exists and continues to make similar parts.
I'm not sure if they sell direct. Best measure up the shaft sizes and give them a call.
On-line catalogues are also quite comprehensive - https://www.elesa.com/catalogo_gb_2_24_1_0.aspx.
I assume from your description that you have a manual variable-speed - with the handwheel and display on the LHS of the cabinet?
