PRO/Desktop Error The command has been aborted.

I am trying to install PTC Pro/DESKTOP 8 on Dell Optiplex 745’s with Window XP the program opens up, but when you go to File, new , design , we get the error message….. “The command has been aborted. An internal error occurred in Pro/DESKTOP. It is most likely that doing the same thing will produce the same error.” I tried reinstalling the program without success.. Please advise

The problem is probably with the graphics card on the PC.

Open the software

Go to the Tools Menu

Select Options

Select performance

Then check the box that says Disable Graphics Hardware Acceleration (slower)


It should now work
