7" VDU JUST DISPLAYS SINGLE HORIZONTAL LINE!(TRIAC ATC
If any one can suggest a repair method for this problem or has any spares for 7" vdu for an old (1990) triac atc please let me know. Thanks
The single horizontal line is not good news
It indicates that the vertical scan cct inside the monitor has failed.
I think the monitors in Triac were made by KME. see https://www.kme.co.uk - they might be able to repair it for you, but also I think any good TV/monitor repair shop may be able to help.
There is also a composite video out connector at the back of the triac that feeds the larger external monitor - do you have this external monitor? It was fitted as standard to all PNC3 Triacs and displays exactly the same info as the smaller one, unless you are doing a toolpath simualtion.

Can you check the machine control type?
If it is a PNC3 controller the screen is part of the control unit and was supplied by North East Electronics.
If it is a later model it would have had a 10" VDU supplied by KME (this may only measure 9" across the diaganal). If you have a KME screen we do have stock of these
