Hi,
Can any of your Forumers with Viceroy lathes help out the gentlemans request below ? If you could post pictures I can forward them on to him. I'll try and contact him for the model No
"I have just bought a new NuTLink vee belt for the top final Spindle Drive. At my age,75, and after several hours trying, I am having difficulty fitting the belt. Might you kindly let me see an original End View Drawing of where the belt should run. It is hard to feel which way it should thread, as nothing can be seen.
I wonder if it might go though a small opening high up in the Headstock, or straight down through the main gap?
Alas, I have no experience in negotiating the Technical Forum on your Web site.
I do hope you are still able to oblige with this back-up."

Re: Viceroy lathe vee belt (Spindle Drive) fitting
Sounds like a 5" model lathe - the 5 1/2" machines had a removable top cover making it easy to see.
There's a tip here (next to the belt picture about 2/3 down the page) suggesting that the new belt should be joined to the old and pulled through - but I guess that's not much use if the old belt fell apart and dropped out!
Relevant drawing numbers could be something like ML100/100 & ML100/200.
Sorry, can't help any further - unless he happens to be local to me....
