Orac wont manual speed up

Hi, Can anyone tell me why a Orac won't manual speed up,
I have a chance to buy this lathe, but seller says it has this, intermittent fault, would it be a problem I ask, but he says it does work fine when programed,
Can any one advise,

Sounds like a button problem - will it slow down?

Anyway you'd end up retro fiting Mach3 on it as the controls so basic by todays standards
