It looks like your go file is set to use COM3 as the machine.
I've no experience of these files, but have a look at this post:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=58
Your .go file should look more like this (remove the comments):
$3F8 4 MACHINE (COM1=machine)
DENFORD1.KBD 1
18.2 $2F8 3 (COM2=tutor)
From the line "$3F8 4 COM1" in your file, I'm guessing that original used to be set to use COM1 for drip feed from another PC via RS232
And the machine was connected on COM3, tutor on COM2

Thank you for the advice it was very very interesting.
I have made the changes and it looks right but for some reason it still will not connect.
here is what I have tried thus far since my last post.
editted Mirac .go to the following

this didnt work, so I tried

I also have 2 spare desktop tutors that work and switched them around with no luck.
Still get the error message Error <128> software aborted.
Funny thing though, I open FanucL and the RS232 drivers load, keyboard drivers load and VGA driver loads the program opens and I can write G code, it just wont transmit it to the machine. I know it was not made to run the MIRAC PC but can the OPT file be adjusted to make it work?
basically i will try anything.

Have you copied the drivers in to the mirac directory?

no I hadn't
after putting them in it now loads the RS232 driver but I get the following errors
Error <151> RS232 driver not correctly installed
Error <181> software aborted
keep the ideas coming, i see light

Can you post a screenshot of what files are in the Mirac directory?
