whenever I try to export a .dxf file from QuickCAM or LaserCAM

Unfortunately, there is a bug in the DXF engine in both QuickCAM and LaserCAM and we are unable to do anything about it

The problem only appears the very first time you try to create a dxf file. Try again and the dxf file will be created properly
