Hi, as anyone removed the belt drive from their orac and gone 1 to 1 revolution of the motor to one turn of the lead screw.
I am finding it impossible to get a drive belt and sprocket size to work with the orac, and thinking of just cutting out the belt drive all together.
Anyone done this.

I think I have seen a 1:1 connection done in the past but can't remember where. My question would be what is the issue you're having with maintaining the standard 2.5:1 ratio. The Orac used a 12:30 pulley set and 100XL037 belt IIRC which are readily available, other common ratios would be 14:35 and 16:40 which I'm using on project. XL belts are available in a wide range of lengths.
