I have a Microturn 2000

When in the jog mode the arrow keys on the key board do not work.

I have reloaded the software and have changed out key boards and that didn't work.

Are the axis position numbers on the screen changing when you are trying to jog ?

On the control panel in the lower right corner what is the "F(eed): --% S(peed):--%" ?
Your Feedrate Override may be turned all the way down.
Some machines will give you a warning that the feed rate is turned down to zero, not all machines warn you.

Jog Keys not working

Post by milburn »

I am having the same problem on VR milling 2.31. I have updated the software, changed default jog buttons, and changed the feed rates. The axis positions numbers are not changing at all.

The home button seems to work. The default coordinates are 0,0,0 and they move slightly when I click 'Home All', and return to 0,0,0.

I am connecting to a Microrouter and have tried selecting different machines in the "Setup Machine Parameters.." (ROUTER, ROUTERV3, ROUTERV3PRO, etc)

In all versions of VR Milling and Turning, the Jog mode has to be selected, and there will be a green indicator to say that its able to jog.

If you click on another window the Jog control panel looses focus and you aren't able to jog.

It could also be down to feedrate override - the system may think you have an external override pot fitted where there isn't one - resulting in a permanent override of 0%.
Usually the default parameters are correct, but some machines can be different to the default.

Are you sure the jog keys are changed to what you wanted ?
Remember that each machine you have tried will have its own setup for the Jog keys
