BT 35 is not a taper used on Denford Milling machines. The Triac and VMC have a BT30 taper.

The main reason I bought my Triac, was because it included a collection of tool holders.

I have bought some random holders via eBay, but BT35 stuff is getting pretty rare. I can't even remember the last time my saved search suggested any in the UK.

I ended up getting a custom batch of ER holders made so I didn't have to continually swap cutters and juggle older less common collets. I'm just waiting for a some custom pull studs to arrive, as I ordered the wrong standard of BT35 holders to use generic pull studs.

Hmmm, as best I remember the Triacs did have at one time a BT35 spindle, that model had a 6 pot ATC and the BT30 version had an 8 pot ATC, that is the easiest way to distinguish between the two just from Photos, look at the ATC if there is one for number of pots :D

Yes, mine has the six station ATC in BT35. By chance you can actually see the number "6" on the carousel on my For Sale photo

I have a triac and it has BT35 toolholders on a 6 tool carousel changer. It came with about 30 of them. I need to go through them

Hi Nemo,
I have a load of BT35 stuff most of which is brand new and boxed and of premier brands such as Nikken. I even have a Nikken MAC boring bar set with BT35 holders, unused, that must have cost an absolute fortune new!
Let me know what you need and i will try get specific photos

Thanks all for replies… missed them, until now!

My Triac VMC is 100% a BT35, with a 6pos Atc.

Sweep - is your boring set for sale?
Nemo - any of your 30 holders for sale?
Interested in increasing my 5off stock of holders! :)

Hi GingerNinja,

Tricky question about the boring bar set. I have just managed to get a 30 International to suit the set to allow me to use with my new Harrison mill. That being said, it’s really too nice for me to use, as none of it has ever been used, but I always think I will use it one day but probably never will. Send me a PM if you want to make an offer.
