Hi
The No. 202 May 2013 edition of Model Engineer Workshop magazine includes an article on a copier attachment for a Denford Viceroy lathe (but easily adaptible to any other lathe).
If you already have a Denford copy/taper attachment, this is an easy accessory to make and adds useful capability.
If you don’t have the Denford copy/taper attachment, it would be straight forward to reproduce both attachments.
If the lathe looks familiar, it’s probably because you have seen it on this forum.
Hi
Attached are some photos that show a cross slide copier attachment. This is designed to copy the profile of a template onto the end of a bar. This is something that cannot be done with the factory copy attachment. I have used parts of the factory copier to make the cross slide version, but nothing that could not be reproduced in the home work shop.
