Is this lever just for disabling the gearbox. If I change to other position then the lead screw stops turning

For closing the half nuts.  Does this work the x feed as well as longitudinal

What function does this leaver have. Is it for swapping between x feed and longitudinal. The upper position doesnt  seem to do any thing.

Hi all forgot to say this is my viceroy TDS 1.1 Gb.
I am a newbie just feeling my way round this mc. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hardware/Software: An old Viceroy with a half installed invertor drive,(when I can decide where to put the control pushbuttons I will wire it up properly)
A WMD25V mini mill.
Tractor, Bobcat 320, and Dumper truck.
7 sheds, about 5 (?) mowers. etc, etc.
Location: Scotland !

Hi,

Some comments on your posted pictures:

Pic 1: This is the tumbler reverse for changing the rotation direction of the leadscrew or feedscrew.
Pic 6: This lever closes the half nuts for threading. You can't do cross feed and threading at the same time. Only one shaft can be driven at a time.
Pic 5: not sure.
Pic 8: Banjo for change gears.
Pic 4: Cross feed selector.
Pic 2: Gearbox gear selector lever. (see chart for different thread selections)

Yours looks like an earlier version.
