Microturn Spindle Encoder
While I'd love to have an original Denford encoder, cost of a new one for my "hobby" machine is simply out of reach and fitting a "hobby" priced encoder is my only option.
After a load of reading on the board I think I have enough information to get started.

Do I have the following correct?

Spindle motor to encoder drive: 1:1 belt
5VDC supply
Counts: 2000 PPR (Uses A output - A/ unused) DenStep reads both rising and falling pulse edge thus Encoder Count = 4000 in INI file.
Index (Z): 1 PPR
Line Driver output

After fitting an encoder I should use MicroTurn2000NS.ini configuration file.

I have my fingers crossed that I have this right - :)

Yes that all looks correct to me.
If the line count is a problem you can always alter the mint (.mnt) file to suit

Thank you very much for confirming the encoder data and also the note regarding the mint (.mnt) file.
