Hi all
I've just bought a second hand denford micromill however it didn't come with either the QuickCAM 3D or the QuickCAM Pro software.
I have solidworks to create STLs and VR CNC Milling V5, however looking at some tutorials it seems I need either of the QuickCAm softwares to actually produce anything on the micromill.
Does anyone know where i could get QuickCAM 3D or QuickCAM Pro? as i can't find the software anywhere online and wasnt given it when i bought the micromill.
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Yes you need 3D CAM software to convert .STL's to toolpaths. SolidCAM would be the obvious choice for Solidworks, but I imagine its pretty expensive.
There seem to be a few cheapish options out there you could try, eg, MeshCAM.
Our QuickCAM pro would set you back £295+vat (for an educational site license)
