One of our customers is quite happy with the QC 2D software. He says that alot of his manufacturers on school's tech advisory board use Bridgeport’s with Acu-rite controls. The QC 2d works similar to the software the runs on the Acu-rite machines. This helps with high school students that are going to be using the Acu-rite system. GREAT JOB GUYS!

He does have a problem though, he is having trouble bringing in a dxf file and trying to make it larger in scale. Please advise. Thank you

The problem with DXF files is that it does not tell you what units the drawing was created with - the numbers inside are just numbers and could be yards, feet, miles, Km etc....

This always poses a problem for those using inches :? as we tend to presume the original drawings units were mm.
So, if you draw a 2 inch square box, save as a DXF and load into QuickCAM it has to presume some units, and guesses its a 2mm square box.

All you have to do then is press CTRL-A to select the whole drawing
Press S or choose scale command
Select scaling base point (mouse click on bottom left of drawing normally)
then enter 25.4 in the scaling box at the top of the screen (see screenshot)
