SHEETCAM Triac Pnc3 post processor

Post by hpdrifter » Tue 07 Nov , 2006 11:10 am

I have been evaluating SHEETCAM and it appears to be very useful CAM software.
Does anyone have a post processor for the Triac Pnc3 controller.
I have tried the generic post processors but too many problems with G02 "Circular Movement out of Quadrant" errors.

Regards

Denford had QuickCAM 2D Design on EBAY for a similar price to SheetCAM - £150 from the shop:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/CAD-CAM-Consumables

QuickCAM also allows you to draw and design in 2D, and import DXF / DWG Gerber and WMF files.

Its already been bought and used by someone else on this forum for use on a Triac machine - the post processor has now been done for the North East controllers to split arcs up into seperate quadrants (ie, the NE Triac machine is available as an output from the CAM wizard)

Download the demo and give it a try:

I have been having great success with Sheetcam.

It is very user friendly and half the price of QuickCAM.

Oh Yes.

It works fine if you edit the post processor to interpolate curves as small straight lines.
It just is not very eligant.

Is there not a split arc quadrants in the post ? I had to set this when I sorted out a Mastercam post.
