Mirac NS connection problem

Hi, my name is Mauricio.
I am facing some problems to connect Mirac NS to my computer. After clicking to connect to the machine in VR Turning software V.1.35, the "erasing flash" message appears and stays there for a few seconds before disappearing. The dialog box disappears and never shows back again, and connection never establishes between the machine and the computer. I wonder what could be happening.
I already checked baud rate, com port, selected machine and RS232 cable.
Any other suggestion?
Thanks,
Mauricio Iwama Takano.

Install EasyUpgrader & see if that finds the machine. If that does not find it you can try to connect with Work Bench.

Using easy machine upgrader didn't work. A message that the card isn't compatible with the latest software showed. Then another message saying "Non-volatile data corrupted" shows (it must be related to the fact that I removed the EEPROM after you guys suggested me to).
I then installed the workbench and tried to connect. It connected ok, however the same problem was occurring when I tried to connect to VR Turning (the erasing flash message pops up and disappears). Then I did something not wise: I downloaded a new firmware using workbench. After I did that I was able to connect to VR Turning software, but the X and Z positions were "NAN". And the following error appeared in workbench: "Error 3100: Division by zero on line 853".
I checked line 852 and 853 and this is what was there:
"If SPEED[0]*(LastFeedOv/100)>=MAXSPEED[0] Then
LastFeedOv=(MAXSPEED[0]/SPEED[0])*100"
Any other idea?
Thank you.

I managed to solve the NAN problem, it happened that I forgot to set the maximum feed rate, it was set to zero to both X and Z axes. However I cannot connect the lathe unless I open workbench and download the FPGA and the firmware again, every time I turn the machine off I have to do this.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Thank you,
