I have imported PDf drawings into quickcam2D for production on my micro router but I would like to rescale parts of the drawings, can anyone tell me how to do this ?

If you select the item you then need to click on the top right (I think) dot & drag it.

Yes, this alters the whole drawing but I want to alter dimensions individually parts within the drawing, by turn the PDf into a CAD drawing file, is this possible ??

Can you supply an example file ?
How did you get the .pdf into QuickCAM 2D ?
If it was imported as postscript (.ps or .eps) then it's probably that all the items of the drawing are grouped together - select it and right click for explode or ungroup
If it's come in as a bitmap image then select it, right-click and choose contour bitmap

Just add the image to the design in QuickCAM and contour bitmap.
This will give you polylines which will need some work to clean up but can then be scaled and used by the CAM wizard for cutter path generation.

Decided after starting to reduce the polylines was going to take for ever, so I started from scratch & drew 1 key, tried to group all lines to copy & paste key without success, think I need a manual for Quickcam 2D design please.

Just go to the help menu and tutorials. This will show you how to do it.

Try the ruler tutorial as this shows copy paste etc

You should probably just draw one part then choose the array tool

So is it not possible to group a line drawing, then copy & paste the group ??

Select the items you want and right-click for the popup menu.
Grouping is in there, as is copy+paste.

You can also just select what you want and use the move command. If you hold down SHIFT at the same time, it will create a new copy in the 'moved to' location and keep the original as it was.

Make sure you have the latest version as some of these features may not have existed previously.
