Please can you tell me where i can find the location of the license file? When lathe cam starts it must look for the license file. Is there a config or ini file with the address of the file.
Basically we have a site license installed somewhere on the network but no one know where!

Thanks

The license info will be in c:\denford\lcd.ini
and you should have something like this:
[FLASH]
Flash_User=yourname Site Licence
Flash_Code=SADF-ASDF-ADFS-FDSA-FDSA

Otherwise you may have a dongle which would go in the parallel port of the PC

I'd guess in the same file: lcd.ini
if not look at the files under c:\denford\data for files with the latest modified date.

Are you from Dixsons CTC?

I think we have just delivered a Turn 270PRO with Quick Turn 2D Design. You should be able to use this as its much more advanced than the LatheCAM.

Yes I am. The turn 270 is fantastic we are very pleased. Aslo quick turn 2d is very good but a bit more complex so we are tinkering with lathe cam for the lower school/ability to use and use 2d with yr11 12 13. Also we set lathe cam to out put directley to a default folder which is also usefull.

So far I have configured lathe cam to out put .fnl although vr turning will out put .fnc but it just makes it neater if both programs are outputting the same file type. I have added Turn 270 pro to the machine list.
Now i want to edit the feed and speed values in lathe cam which i can do locally through create g code > set g code perameters but i want to do it across the network not on every machine.

The only other place to look would be in c:\windows
In the old days, I'm pretty sure everything was done with ini files and never touched the registry.
This post has some info about Lathecam on a network:
