CNC Tutor for Windows Turning v1.75b
Windows XP
CNC Lathe

The error message that I receive when I try to install the Mint Manager is "Comm Not OK".

I have checked all of my connections to make sure they are connected.
I have followed the directions from the manual for the Comm settings.
I have checked the Bios settings to make sure there isn't any conflictions.

Do the Drivers for the USB/Serial Port device get installed when the Mint Manager downloads the Config file?
Is there a way to download the drivers for the device?

CNC Tutor is a discontinued product.
You will need to upgrade to VR Turning control software and you may need to upgrade the EPROM on the control card from DOS to Windows.
The DOS EPROM is labeled "esMINT v1.6"
The Windows EPROM is labeled "denMINT v2.0"

Contact your educational reseller for pricing on the upgrades.

The software simply uses the RS232 Com port to talk to the machine, there are no drivers required as such.
If you don't have a real serial port, and are using a USB>serial adaptor, then you will have problems. Serial PCI cards are still available to fit to machines without them built in.
