More and more schools are using Google Sketchup as opposed to Prodesktop because they say its more user friendly. Are there any problems outputing to Denford's software if a STL file can be generated from it ?

If you have the version which can output .STL files, then I can't see why Google SketchUp can't be used to create 3D models for use in QuickCAM 3D / QuickCAM 3D Pro, and then on to make the real thing on one of our machines.

We sometimes have problems with STL files which don't follow conventions for Ascii or binary formats, but this could be fixed very easily for sketchup.

 If anyone can send a model exported from google sketchup, then feel free to attach one for us to try and make on a CNC router

BTW, Cosmic Blobs https://www.cosmicblobs.com is another cheap / free 3D modelling package aimed at kids - this will produce STL files that can be read by QuickCAM 3D.
If you're put off by the garishness - look out for a link to the "saner" version of the software: CB Model Pro
