Everything is working now other than we get a severe internal error 205 when we try to import dxf files, it was working on the old machine, and i cant seem to see any diffenent settings im missing on the old vs. ne machine, any ideas what i need to to :)?

First I would upgrade Millcam designer to ver 2.2a from our web site and see if this helps.

MillCAM designer does not work with Vista. :(

See the link below!

If millCAM is loaded stand alone on the 98 machine it should work.

I donwloaded and installed millcam 2.2 but it will not recognize the dongle on the printer port, 2.0 sees it no prob, but not 2.2. Is there certain dongles for different cam versions, and its on a 98 system

thanks

Try running drights.exe from C:\Denford
Does that work ?

i hopefully will be at the school on friday to try the drights.exe, but will running that prevent the old p3 that i have millcam 2.0 working on as a backup not recognizing the dongle ? I can always leave the p3 running if i have to but i'd prefer to toss it and run it all from the 98 machine

drights.exe is an old DOS application which simply tries to read the dongle and tell you what software packages are enabled on it (a hardware dongle could have multiple software keys on it)

See these for dongle issues and fault finding :
