Have found that ProDesktop does not seem to run! :(

The Achiever would run though. :?

Have a call in to PTC to see if it will work in the future.

Prodesktop 8 Working with Vista

Post by Steve » Sat 17 Mar , 2007 14:31 pm

After some help from Mike Brown (PTC) I have got Pro/DESKTOP 8 to run. :D

I had to create a new shortcut to the program and then in properties get it to run in a win 95 compatable way. :?

I then set to work compatable with XP Service pack 2 and it would then run.

We had tried starting at Win 98 as this had been suggested but could not stop the software crashing as we extruded.

It seems if you run in the earlier mode there must be a dll or a registry entry that installs on earlier versions that will then run in Vista.

If anyone else tries this please post what you have to do to make it work!
