1. Is the E Stop button out ?
2. Are any of the axes on limit switches? Press axis override button in and hold and jog axes off switches
3. If an ATC is fitted pressure switch is in the E Stop circuit

Q. The "Emergency stop button pressed" error message may be because one on the axes is physically on a over travel limit switch which are in series in the emergency stop circuit.

A. With the machine and VR Milling software running, press and HOLD IN the AXIS OVER TRAVEL BUTTON, then select the HOME ALL button in the VR Milling software CONTROL PANEL and the axes should home, if successful the JOG and AUTO tabs should become visible next to the HOME tab in the VR Milling software CONTROL PANEL

There are 2 contacts on the Emergency Stop button

Contact 1 - 0V (GND) from Denstep board to Input 6 (Pin 9) Denstep
board. (Software monitors the status of the input)

Contact 2 - 24V via GIR (Guard Interlock Relay) to the Guard solenoid

Microrouter / Microrouter Compact

When the Emergency Stop button is pressed it stops 24v going to the Emergency Stop Relay (ESR). This opens all the ESR’s contacts and hence stops GND (TB1 “Datums and Limits” terminal 2) going to the STOP (TB1 “Datums and Limits” terminal 6) and hence we get the “E Stop Button Activated” Message on the screen

Check fuses F2 and F3 as these are 240v to the transformer and 24v to E Stop button

Microrouter

This usually has a second contact on the E Stop button, and this supplies 24v via the Guard Interlock Relay (GIR) to the Guard solenoid
